يضرب هذا المثل في من يعد و يُمَنِّيَ شخص ما بأشياء كثيرة لكن الحاجة هي في تلك اللحظة. و يضرب في من يهتم باللحظة و لا يشغل باله بالمستقبل.
Literally: “”The next seven years will be green” I promise; she answered: I am thinking only about this moment”
Equivalent: “Promised berries will not fill the basket.”
This proverb applies to those who make many promises and express numerous wishes, yet only focus on the immediate needs. It also applies to those who live in the moment without considering the future.
