كفاك الله شبع الأنذال وجوع الأبطال

هذا المثل يشابه المقولة المنسوبة للإمام علي التي تقول “احذروا صولة الكريم إذا جاع و أشر اللئيم إذا شبع” بمعنى إحذورا سطوة/شدة الكريم إذا جاع و بطر اللئيم إذا شبع.
May Allah protect you from the satiety of scoundrels and the hunger of heroes.
This proverb echoes a saying credited to Imam Ali: “Be wary of the strength of the generous when they are hungry, and the cruelty of the mean when they are full.” This implies caution against the might of the generous when they are in need, and the haughtiness of the mean when they are satisfied.
