يضرب في اللسان تفصح عما يكنه القلب. يؤكد هذا المثل على مبدأ أن أفعالنا وتصرفاتنا و منطقنا دائما هي انعكاسات لأفكارنا و شخصياتنا الحقيقية. وكما أن الدلو لا يمكنه سوى سحب المياه المتوفرة في البئر، فلا يمكننا التصرف أو التعبير إلا بناءً على ما تعلمناه أو اختبرناه في هذه الحياة.
